Amelia Moore is so back with her newest mixtape “he’s still just not that into you”. Moore’s new project dives deeper into her witty, yet honest storytelling. She unpacks the messy truth of love, rejection, and self-worth with a boldness that feels both intimate, yet cinematic. The project weaves in and out of Amelia Moore’s emotional vulnerability that is reflected through her own life. In our °1824 discussion, she talks about going through personal setbacks which she reveals she was dropped from her previous record label. Rather than shy away from the pain, Moore leans into it, using her music as both a form of release. She says that she wants to write from a place of honesty. If we shy away from uncomfortable conversations, even with ourselves, it prevents us from getting to where we need to be. Moore reveals that making music is a learning experience for her– not only musically but personally. She said she found out a lot about herself through this journey and she bluntly admitted “Oh, I am stubborn”. Each song became a mirror, reflecting back pieces of her identity she hadn’t fully faced before.
Since facing rejection and instability in the industry, Moore didn’t retreat into weakness; she emerged stronger and more grounded. Instead of letting the industry’s harsh realities define her, she chose to redefine herself on her own terms. Amelia is putting herself into music, her personality. Through the conference, it is evident that she is just having fun during this project and that is everything we could ask for as a listener. It is refreshing to see an artist having fun with all aspects of their projects: marketing, photoshoots to socials. Moore blends authenticity with intention which is making her presence impossible to ignore. In an industry where artists are often boxed into categories, she breaks free. Keep checking in with Amelia throughout the year. She promises she will make the girls feel seen! “he’s still just not that into you” is out NOW on all streaming platforms.
